The Brooklyn Chamber Of Commerce has released a new survey that shows Brooklyn small businesses are still struggling to keep their doors open after Covid-19 pandemic and New York shut them down.
While New York City and State have tried some small measures to help some businesses and select industries the poll shows that it has not been nearly enough.
Only 41% of surveyed said they had an increase in business over 2020. 72% said their sales were lower than before the pandemic in 2019 along with 68% who said they lost customers over that same span. Also, 41% said they are having a hard time with shortage of labor.
