States Acting On Child Marriage Laws With New York Leading The Way

Many states are examining and improving their laws on the minimum age to be married – to protect children – but New York has been a leader in this area for some time. New York is one of six states (along with New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Delaware and Minnesota) that DO NOT allow children to get married at all!
